The following are directly outside the Grand Hotel: bus stops, boat trips on the lake, boat hire, funicular to Monte Brè and scenic walks. Driving Directions: The Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola is 2km from the railway station, 4km from the motorway (A2 exit), 8km from Lugano Agno airport, 60km from Milan’s Malpensa International Airport and 220km from Zurich Airport. On the motorway, take the "Lugano Sud" exit and follow signs to "Gandria/St. Moritz", which takes you along the lake road. The Grand Hotel is located approximately 500m after the river, on the left-hand side, in a large park.
