Hotel Astoria - Zermatt

The family-friendly Hotel Astoria is located right in the centre of Zermatt and offers you spacious junior suites with balconies, most with superb views of the Matterhorn. It is about 10 minutes' walk from the train station and the Klein-Matterhorn cable car. Both can also be quickly reached by bus from the stop around the corner. A transfer from and to the train station or the taxi stand can be booked as well. Wireless internet is available in the entire Astoria hotel free of charge. During winter season you can book half board for a supplement. In this case you will be served a delicious 5-course dinner. At Christmas and New Year and New Year's Eve special gala dinners can be enjoyed. Right next to the Astoria hotel there is a lively bar, a little supermarket, a bakery, several sports shops and restaurants. At a nearby sister hotel, animation for kids is offered during the day and on request in the evening. If you need a babysitter to come to the Hotel Astoria, this can easily be arranged.

To Zermatt by car: - To Täsch (6 km from Zermatt) You can park your car either on the public parking lot next to the station at Täsch or with one of the private taxi companies or their underground car parks. - In Täsch you board the shuttle train which runs every 20 minutes between 06:00 and 23:30. The Zermatt railways offer trolleys to transport your luggage from your car to the train and to Zermatt without having to carry it around. From Täsch you can also take a taxi to Zermatt (taxi stand at the entrance to the village). Please call the hotel on arrival in Zermatt if you want to make use of the hotel's shuttle service at an additional cost.
