Located 1,050 metres above sea level, the 4-star Sunstar Hotel Grindelwald enjoys a central and quiet location with a wonderful view of the famous North Wall of the Eiger. This hotel is situated directly opposite the First cable-car lift and 8 minutes’ walk from the station. Free underground parking is available. The hotel features wooden flooring, furniture and wall panelling. There is a large wellness centre with an indoor pool and steam baths. The rooms have a traditional style and offer a view over the village. Every room is equipped with cable TV and a minibar. Buffet breakfast is available and the restaurant serves Eptinger mineral water, fine wines, Bio Max Havelaar coffee and Pommery champagne. The bar offers live piano music and the menu includes a selection of snacks and cocktails.

By train: New feature: when you stay over 7 nights, you receive a free SBB train ticket from/to your home or the Swiss border. Take the Bernese Oberland train from Interlaken to Grindelwald station. Journey time from Interlaken approx. 35 minutes (trains leave once an hour). Let us know your arrival time in Grindelwald, and we’ll be happy to pick you up at the station. By car: Take the A6 motorway towards Interlaken, then the Interlaken-Ost, Wilderswil, Grindelwald exit. Drive through Wilderswil and then turn left towards Grindelwald. You’ll arrive in the glacier village in approx. 15 minutes. Follow the main road through the village and then - at the very centre - drive straight onto the grounds of the Sunstar Hotel. You can park in the hotel’s private underground car park.
